At Vermont Custom Fitness, Kristen works with you to determine when, where and how to best make important lifestyle changes on your own terms. After a thorough assessment Kristen will design a customized exercise program you can do in the comfort of your own home. She will assist you in finding appropriate and inexpensive equipment that you can utilize to meet your fitness goals. She will make you a personalized exercise program which includes strength training, cardiovascular exercise, stretching, diet, and core conditioning. As you get stronger, Kristen helps you increase the challenge of your exercise routines in a way that works with your day to day life. Working out at home offers a lot of benefits - it's convenient, affordable and comfortable, especially if you're not a big fan of gyms. |

As we age, or as our parents age it becomes even more important to incorporate healthy movement into our routines to maintain mobility and independence. Appropriate stretching and exercises will help to maintain muscle mass and bone density - two elements critical to your ability to live independently. Sedentary lifestyles associated with retirement can cause issues with your body that can limit your ability to enjoy a healthy, mobile lifestyle. Kristen has certifications and years of experience working with seniors, helping to integrate activities into your everyday life that will allow you to continue to enjoy an active and independent retirement for many years to come. She can help you maintain your balance and muscle mass, preventing falls that can be deadly or immobilizing. Kristen trains clients at several local Vermont gyms including Vermont Sun in Middlebury and Vergennes, Middlebury Fitness in Middlebury, and Bristol Health and Fitness in Bristol. She can also assist students, faculty or members of the Middlebury College Fitness Center.

Kristen also offers personal training in her private studio in Bristol, VT.
PARTNER & SMALL GROUP TRAININGWe all need a little encouragement and support sometimes! For some people, working out with a partner is more motivating - and adds an extra level of accountability to keep you on track. Kristen can work with you to come up with individual fitness plans that you can work toward together. You don't have to be on the same fitness level to exercise together.
Kristen can also come to your office and work with small groups to design fitness plans you can work on as a team on your lunch break. |
